Jalan-jalan...

After having breakfast with my mum, dad, charlie and Ah Kau Uncle (The Big Bos of Royal Hotel Keningau). We have no place to go around Keningau. Finally Esther suggest to go KK, without any discussion, everybody agree, so i directly go to the patrol station and start our non-planned journey to KK. We reach KK around 12.30pm, hooo...! really hot and shining day at KK city today...while my wife going shopping herself accompany by her sisters, Charlie and me (Charles) try to find some where nice to have a snap with my new SLR digicam. I m going to the seaside just located behind of Wisma Merdeka...wuaaaah..nice scene... weather is really good and may snap some photos!
As u know that, i m not a professional photographer and i just bought my new SLR digicam just 1 week ago. When i facing this kind of weather with really bright sunlight, hot day and the sunlight reflection also very strong...ha...? I m asking "How to Shoot?" Aduh... pening kepala o...!
I try to snap few post with manual mode, and the result are..."too bright","too shine" ,even the sky look white colour. Hahaha... in my mind, may be it is because of the "shutter setting" but i have no time to set it because of the "super" hot day. so lastly....i use the programmed mode in my digicam "Landscape"....wuoooo...it's totally solve all the problems!!!

A Freelance Photography

This article talks about the myths and truths about freelance photography, and what it takes to be a good freelance photographer. Includes many personal experiences and lessons learnt the hard way!! For photographers aspiring to work on a freelance basis, this is a must-read!!
Sooner or later, when you have reached a certain level of proficiency and decided that you have "invested" enough money into your equipment, you will want to recoup back some of that money by going into freelance photography. And why not? you might ask. You can earn back some of the money you spent on learning photography, and use them to buy new equipment. You have the skills and money to do that, don't you ? Well, the fact is that freelance photography is not exactly what you thought of it to be. There are numerous details that you should take note of, before you happily go off to print your name card, proclaiming to be a freelance photographer.

First, let's start off with what people say about freelance photography:
1) You can do it during your free hours or weekends. It is free and easy!

2) It can help finance the purchase of your photography equipment.
3) You might avoid paying income tax on what you earn part-time.
4) And best of all, you are being paid for doing what you like. Isn't that great?
5) There's a glamour in being called a "part time professional photographer".

Now... if there was such a great job, please count me in.
